The People Generalist is the go-to person for People team support and NYC office operations. This person is a proactive partner in supporting and improving People programs and ensuring internal community initiatives and office operations are maintained. Working closely supporting the People team, you’ll be exposed to many projects ranging from recruitment, employee engagement, and total rewards. This role is great for someone looking to get started in growing a career within a People function and develop a true generalist skill set.

This role must sit 3 days per week in NYC office

Responsibilities

  • Be the bridge from Talent Acquisition, People Operations and Employee Experience to ensure we meet our People Team roadmap and overall business objectives, including working on cross-functional projects
  • Manage full-cycle recruiting process across the business, including sourcing, candidate screening, and interview scheduling, while ensuring a uniform and positive candidate experience
  • Build a strong, diverse pipeline through sourcing and networking to connect with potential candidates
  • Be a go-to person for employees when it comes to day-to-day People inquiries.
  • Own the planning and execution of community building initiatives (weekly lunch orders, virtual and in-person meet ups, lunch & learns, etc)
  • Own employee off-boarding, onboarding, and new team member experience.
  • Proactively make and implement recommendations that enhance People programs and offerings
  • Help manage accurate employee data across People Team systems (Rippling, Lattice, Workramp, etc.)
  • General office management tasks for our NYC office, including but not limited to managing building access, kitchen and office supplies, greeting guests, and managing deliveries.
  • Stay current on changes to state, federal, and international laws pertaining to employment, benefits, and expansion into new employment locations.
  • Ensure employee handbook and policies remain up to date with changes in laws, as well as recommending new guidelines as needed.
  • Proactively to offer solutions to improve our internal processes.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience in technical recruitment
  • 1+ years demonstrating an understanding of different visa statuses, such as H-1B, L-1, TN, F-1 OPT, and others, and their impact on employment eligibility and restrictions.
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in People Operations and/or Office Management strongly preferred
  • Ability to work from the NYC office 3+ days a week
  • You handle confidential information with discretion, and practice good judgment when faced with sensitive situations.
  • A roll up your sleeves mentality with excitement to research and learn what you don’t know
  • Love building, refining, and executing People and Talent Acquisition processes
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills along with high attention to detail
  • Experience with HRIS & ATS systems (bonus if you have used Workable or Rippling)
  • Strong follow-up/follow-through skills, and ability to anticipate potential issues/know when to escalate
  • Experience with Google Suites and Microsoft Office

Base Salary

The base salary range is between $85k-$95k annually.
