Facilities/Building Maintenance
Job Description:
The Facilities Technician is responsible for performing maintenance service and repairs in the areas of plumbing, carpentry, plastering, HVAC servicing, and electrical.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Operate personnel lifts.
- Operate forklifts
- Perform minor repairs and adaptions of equipment, such as; changing air, grease and coolant lines, switches, belts, guards
- Fabricate miscellaneous items out of wood, metal and Plexiglas
- Build or fabricate labels, devices, etc. to improve quality and production
- Use hand and power tools and assist in moving equipment
- Plumbing, construction of metal/wood, and
- Painting
- Minor facility repairs
- General rigging
- Instruct lawn service contractor
- PM of forklifts per schedule
- AC system filter change per schedule
- Assist HVAC technicians with repairs
- Facility preventative maintenance
- Adhere to all safety requirements
- Practice 5Ss
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Understand and follow verbal and written instructions, as well as drawings and OMS
- Basic math skills
- Certified fork lift operator
- Welding
Education and Experience Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 40 semester hours of industrial trade training or 3 years general maintenance experience
