About the Role:

The Senior Network Engineer is responsible for the day-to-day management and issue resolution of customer networks. The incumbent is responsible for the continuous monitoring and management of the customer networks to ensure alarm receipt and processing procedures are followed. Responsible for the generation of customer reports as well the delivery and management of customer network changes.


What You'll Do:

Responsible for implementation, support and preventive maintenance of technology infrastructure, uses knowledge of LAN/WAN systems to help design, install, and support internal and external networks Recommends and performs scheduled system repairs.

Create and maintain current documentation of network designs and inventory documentation.

Uses knowledge of LAN/WAN systems to help design, install, and support internal and external networks.

Tests and evaluates network systems to eliminate problems and make improvements.

Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.

Performs a variety of complicated tasks.

May lead and direct the work of others.

Communicate effectively with co-workers, management, and other vendors.

Be available for weekend and night work on occasion and as normally scheduled, dependent on workload and project requirements.

Must show their expertise as well as multiple professional certifications.

A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.

Travel required normally within a 200 - 250 mile radius of assigned office.

Performs other duties as assigned.


Do You Have:

BS/BA in related major or equivalent work experience.

8+ years in a network and/or server engineer role.

Must have good time management skills and be able to meet rigid and urgent time schedules.

Solid communication and organization skills to collaborate with internal staff and customers.


Even Better:

CCNP, MCITP, CCIE certifications a plus.

To be considered, candidate must be able to answer questions and demonstrate:

Extensive experience with network infrastructure components to include cabling, routers, switches, firewalls, and/or servers.

Solid knowledge of network design and implementation principles.
