About the role

This is a remote position.

Schedule:
  • Mondays to Fridays, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Bondi NSW, Australia, with 1-hour unpaid lunch
  • 8 hours per day/40 hours per week

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategy: Develop campaigns, platform specific strategies for channels, and calendar across  platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc.) 

• External Monitoring: Keep an eye on trends, algorithm changes, and emerging platforms to  keep the brand relevant and captivating 

• Internal Monitoring: Monitor platform analytics (engagement, reach, growth) and share  insights during team check-ins  

• Community Engagement: Foster relationship with the community by responding to likes, comments, messages, and achievements with warmth and care to help grow our audience of  supporters, volunteers, and donors online 

• Strategy Execution: Post and share according to the campaign, event or present goal of the  kitchen ensuring that each abide by the OBK’s voice

• Graphic Design: Create on-brand graphics and videos for social media and newsletters,  flyers, event materials, and more to encourage support 

• Collaboration: Work with the team and volunteers to gather stories, photos, and updates from  the kitchen and support any cross-departmental requests for digital materials (event invites,  volunteer guides, etc.) 

• Accountability: Present monthly performance reports with insights and recommendations for  future campaigns. 



Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in social media marketing and content creation 
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications or related field and experience on SEO are an advantage 
• Previous experience in nonprofits is preferred but not required 
• Proficient in photo, video, and graphic design tools like Canva and Adobe Creative Suite, and social media platforms 
• Strong understanding of current social media trends, platforms, and analytics • Solid graphic design portfolio showcasing social/digital content 
• Strong copywriting and storytelling skills, writing warm, clear, and mission-aligned captions • Disciplined, accountable, reliable, and able to meet deadlines and submit reports in a remote  work environment. 
• Ability to work independently, but also as part of a collaborative team
