Director, Alts Project Management & Strategic Initiatives

Job Description:

The Director, Alternative Investment Project Management Lead will collaborate cross functionally to assist in the establishment of supporting infrastructure and framework for new alternative investments.  The candidate will support all aspects of this process from tactical execution to strategic design and implementation. 

The successful candidate will: 

• Support the development of effective forums and tools to socialize the cross functional alternative product roadmap and program status, including products developed in other fidelity BUs
• Program manage alternative product launches.  Coordinate activities across all key stakeholder groups including Product, Product Governance, Legal, Compliance, TO, Investment Operations, FFIO, Distribution and Marketing/Communications and others as needed.  As part of this, collaborate with group leads to identify key tasks, resource requirements and critical dependencies to launch new alternative products
• Identify, develop, and promote repeatable and scalable processes and frameworks needed to support alternative investments
• Have exposure to senior management across CRBO & AM and must possess a executive presence and professionalism.
• Successfully navigate the organization, build strong working relationships with key business stakeholders, and develop a strong professional network.
• Quickly learn complex business processes associated with starting new alternative investment and products
• Be skilled in synthesizing complex ideas into easy-to-understand materials, including delivery of key concepts to a cross functional audience with varying seniority levels
• Need to be comfortable taking direction from multiple leaders, open to constructive feedback, and working independently and with ambiguity.

The Expertise and Skills you Bring

• 7-10 years work experience in financial services organizations
• Excellent project management skills, top tier consulting experience is a plus
• Strong understanding of the asset management industry (working knowledge of alternative investments including hedge funds, private equity, real assets, direct lending, and structured products is a plus)
• Ability to break down sophisticated products and structures for various levels of staff
• Superb work ethic, attention to detail, team orientation, and commitment to excellence
• Proven track record when working with uncertainty and successfully delivering large, complex, and strategic initiatives
• Outstanding collaboration skills and ability to partner and effectively influence across a variety of senior stakeholders
• MBA or other advanced degree preferred
• Flexibility and the skill to both lead and contribute to teams are musts.
• Applicants must have exceptional analytical, communication, conceptual thinking, problem-solving capabilities.
