Senior Trading Analyst

PRIMARY PURPOSE
The Senior Trading Analyst processes trade orders from portfolio managers, portfolio investment analysts, and traders. The Senior Trading Analyst works on the Equity and Fixed Income trading desks alongside portfolio managers, portfolio investment analysts, and traders to leverage their time and assist with the day-to-day order analysis. The Senior Trading Analyst handles trading customizations, interprets account guidelines, enters trade execution details, and resolves compliance issues. Once proficient in the daily workflow of a single asset class, the Senior Trading Analyst will begin assuming additional multi-asset responsibilities.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Act as the go to person on advanced order entry for more junior trading analysts, traders, and portfolio investment analysts
- Responsible for facilitating advanced trading processes from order entry issue resolution
- Serve as an intermediary between the portfolio manager, portfolio investment analyst, trader, legal, compliance, trade support and other involved groups as necessary to ensure that we understand and meet client needs
- Engage in project work as needed to further the team’s research, development, and collaboration efforts
- Identify risks and implement appropriate processes and controls thereby reducing significant risk to the firm
- Participate and engage in project work as needed
REQUIREMENTS
(Education / Experience)
- 3+ Years T. Rowe Price or related experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Savvy use of technology in combination with a data driven mindset
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to solve problems
- Knowledge of investments, portfolios, and stock/bond trading
- Knowledge of derivatives and multiple asset classes
- Ability to quickly process information, draw relevant conclusions, and clearly summarize results
- Effective written and verbal communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently (and as part of a larger trading team) on complex tasks with minimal supervision
- Knowledge of trade order processing
PREFERRED
REQUIREMENTS
(Education / Experience)
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Math
- Commence education in pursuit of advanced degree or CFA, FRM or CAIA
- Project management experience
