About the opportunity  

As our Senior Retail Postage Sorter, you’ll play an important part in keeping millions of Australians connected. As you’d expect, plenty of mail comes through our Post Offices and delivery facilities every day – and our mail sorting teams make sure every delivery gets where it needs to.  

The purpose of the role is to professionally assist in the management of operations in our postal outlet, developing the skills and expertise of the box sorting team members and assisting with managing the box sorting area within the post office outlet including end of month activities.    

Role Details:

• Annual salary $67,538 + 12% superannuation + 5 weeks annual leave
• Up to $13,260 district allowance + air conditioning subsidy
• Full-time position, shifts Monday – Friday | 8:45am – 17:00pm

You’ll be

• Manually sorting all mail arriving at the workplace. 
• Sorting and distributing mail into relevant PO Boxes.  
• Assisting and/or performing administrative duties and record maintenance.

• You’re friendly, enthusiastic and reliable and you love the balance of working in a team environment and autonomously. 
• You’re motivated by the opportunity to help make a difference to your community. 
• Call upon your memory and hand-eye coordination while sorting.   
• Be fit to lift up to 16kgs of mail regularly and stand for your shift.
