The Enterprise Data Steward will be an important member of the Data Governance team, contributing to the governance activities aimed at ensuring Allianz Life data is owned, fit for purpose, accessible, compliant, and understood. You will advance our data quality initiatives by providing analysis, communicating impact, tracking issues, and advancing measurement and monitoring of data quality. You will report to the Data Governance Manager.

 

What you do:

 

• Profile the data and define appropriate data quality rules especially for critical attributes to ensure reliable data
• Establish rules and metrics for data quality
• Communicate data quality issues, escalating and facilitating remediation efforts.
• Advise relevant partners on data governance-related matters
• Maintain the single set of enterprise-level data standards and repository of key elements across domains, promoting their use throughout the organization
• Provide recommendations and supporting documentation for new or proposed data standards, business rules, and policy
• Coordinate across the organization with fellow Data Stewards on strategic initiatives in order to maintain consistency of Allianz operational and analytical data
• Accountable for ensuring that data-centric activities are aligned with the Data Governance program and leverage applicable data standards, governance processes, and overall best practices
• Work across the project portfolio to ensure that any data-related changes and dependencies are identified, communicated, and managed to adhere with established Data Governance standards

 

What you bring:

 

• 2+ years of experience
• Experience with Microsoft Power BI including dashboard creation, publication, and maintenance
• Familiarity with Informatica applications, including Axon, IDQ, and EDC
• Customer focus
• You will communicate to all audience levels (employees to executive)
• You will build relationships and lead indirectly
