International Quantitative Genetics Process Scientist (M/W/D) - Home Based (France) 

 

Our Global Breeding organization is opening the role of Quantitative Genetics Process Scientist.

 

This position should be located in France, wherever you want as it is an Home-Based role (Fully remote).

 

This job is for you if :

• You hold ideally a PHD in Quantitative Genetics or Plant/Animal Breeding with a strong experience in developing quantitative genetics methods and processes for routine use in breeding programs
• You have a demonstrated track record of success and 6+ years of experience in deriving quantitative genetics theory for, in coding, in delivering and in utilizing models, algorithms and systems for at least three of the following areas: (i) breeding program design and optimization; (ii) breeding goal definition; (iii) optimization of automated crossing processes; (iv) genetic evaluation; (vi) optimization of data acquisition at scale in plant or animal breeding programs; and (vii) execution of quantitative genetics processes at scale in plant or animal breeding programs.
• You thrive for managing and solving complex problems.
• You speak English fluently and you are used to work within international teams.
• Working remotely is not an issue for you and you are able to build strong relationships and networks at distance, as well as influencing key Stakeholders through challenges and opportunities.

Your mission :

Be the Quantitative Genetics process research Leader who directs quantitative genetics research projects for breeding program design and optimization, breeding goal definition, optimization of automated crossing processes, genetic evaluation, and optimization of data acquisition for Product Design.

In this role, you will lead key research projects in the world and/or multi-disciplinary project teams to advance the Precision Breeding strategy for Product Design globally.

You will lead the delivery of high-quality lines, data packages and prescriptions to the Product Development pipeline using the latest innovations in data science, genomics, quantitative genetics, computational biology, bioinformatics and advanced genotypic, phenotypic and environmental modeling.
