International Accountant

Orfium is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented International Accountant to join our growing team. We are a rapidly scaling market leader in the music technology industry. This is a key hire for the company and will report to the International Financial Controller, based in Dublin. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive accounting support for our international entities, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.

Requirements

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Prepare journal entries for international subsidiaries, adhering to local GAAP and IFRS standards.
• Operate a robust accruals & prepayments process to ensure that costs are correctly recorded within the time constraints of a fast-close environment.
• Assist with the preparation and filing of VAT returns.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts, maintaining the integrity of financial records.
• Prepare month end review packs and perform variance analysis to identify trends and potential issues.
• Assist with financial statement preparation, as well as statutory audits.
• Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement within the international accounting function.
• Support the international payroll process, ensuring accurate and timely payments to employees.
• Work with external tax and accounting advisors.
• Assist with various adhoc projects as needed.

Qualifications:

• Fully qualified Accountant ACA/ACCA
• 1-2 years PQE, ideally a combination of audit and industry experience.
• Strong understanding of international accounting standards including IFRS & US GAAP.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate effectively with cross functional teams.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Prior experience using Sage Intacct, FloQast & Tipalti.
• Self-motivated with a proactive attitude and a passion for continuous improvement.
