We are delighted to share that we have a permanent position available within our Maturation Warehousing Team
Salary of £31,035 which includes a competitive benefits package including pension, shares scheme and bonus!
Our Maturation Warehouses are the home of cask handling & maturation within the north of Scotland. We cover 24 warehousing sites, some of which include our iconic brands such as Cardhu, Lagavulin, Cragganmore, Dalwhinnie and more! We have 109 warehouses across Scotland and hold new make spirit to mature for a minimum of 3 years to be classed as Scotch. On average, we house spirit for at least 12years and contribute to our ever-growing Johnnie Walker collection! Our Maturation North sites have the added benefit of also being able to disgorge the liquid before it migrates to our other Diageo sites for bottling. We can process anywhere between 1200-1800 casks per week so working in the Maturation Warehouse team means being part of something magnificent!
About the role
Working across both traditional and palletised Warehouses, the role of our Maturation Warehouse Operators is to support all aspects of Maturation. This includes the filling, disgorging, dropping & bonding of casks, as well as cask handling (weights from 50kg - 700kg). Working on our High Racking System at height as well as operating Forklifts, Tractors and other site machinery are crucial day to day tasks.
Key points you would be responsible for are:
- Safety Compliance
- HMRC compliance checks
- Cask Loading & unloading using FLT
- Cask Handling and Operating Machinery
- Site Housekeeping
- Meeting Diageo goals and performance indicators
About You
Do you have a passion for tradition? To work in fast paced environments? If so, this role may just have the new challenge and direction that you are craving.
The ideal candidate will come with the ability to work alone as well as part of a team and have the confidence required to operate heavy machinery. Highly effective Interpersonal communication skills will support you in your role to deal with Risk Assessments, following Work Instructions and Compliance Procedures.
You are right for this role if you have the drive and determination to work within our warehouse teams as well as on our distillation sites, while supporting site needs.
