Sr. Life New Business Specialist

F&G is hiring a Sr. Life New Business Specialists.
This position provides support to the Life New Business Specialist Team and Manager, focusing on training, quality review, documentation, escalated cases/issues and other projects as assigned while serving as a proactive liaison between producers, their uplines, third-party administrators, Sales, Underwriting, Policyholder Services, Commissions, Contracting & Licensing, Claims, Legal, and Actuarial departments to quickly and independently resolve new business and customer service issues.
Responsibilities Include
- Creates/Updates procedures and other documentation, as requested
- Achieves required phone and transaction performance as defined for the Senior Life New Business Specialist
- Takes part in company projects, as directed
- Researches and tracks documents to resolve complex service issues with emphasis on a designated function
- Handle escalated phone calls involving service issues or training needs
- Proactively keeps producers and uplines up-to-date on product and processing guidelines
- Resolves problems & guides producers in software usage and web initiatives
- Resolves moderate to complex sales/operational needs/inquiries as pertains to product clarification, pending new business, supply needs, illustrations, and marketing administration
- Adheres to company policies and legal requirements regarding sales and product compliance
- Assists with successful training, ongoing coaching and quality review of Life New Business team members
- Serves as back-up in Team Lead or Manager’s absence, handling work assignments, queue monitoring, and escalated situations
Experience and Education Requirements
- AA or BA degree preferred
- Relevant experience considered in lieu of degree
- 4+ years of experience working in the insurance or financial services industry preferred
- At least 2 years of life insurance experience
- Experience handling escalated phone calls involving service issues or training needs
- Previous experience mentoring other associates and providing feedback regarding the quality of their work
- Successful completion of Life insurance related education such as LOMA or CLU coursework strongly preferred.
