Job Description
The Associate Director, Commercial Analytics and Insights, will be a key member of the Oncology market analytics team that serves the US Clinical Oncology commercial teams. This individual will be responsible for delivering data insights and advanced analytics for Guardant’s US Oncology business, partnering with others on the team to enhance and automate analytics deliverables, and serving as the trusted advisor to the US Commercial Team and cross-functional partners.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Working seamlessly with cross-functional subject matter experts to frame business questions, triangulate multiple data sources, and develop integrated information delivery solutions with rigor and integrity
- Provide leadership in all phases of forecasting from planning through implementation and delivery; elevate and automate the forecasting methodology
- Direct continuous improvement of data management, modeling, and business analysis capabilities; demonstrate how elevated analytics capabilities directly contribute to the growth and optimization of Guardant’s business
- Participate in the development of commercial data strategy and roadmap; continuously refine, automate, and simplify analytics products to support commercial effectiveness and decision-making
- Proactively identify opportunities and threats, leveraging data and business context to support partners across the company
- Evolve analytical platforms, tools, and methods; responsively provide high-quality solutions and answers to ad-hoc requests
Qualifications
- 8+ years of relevant experience in commercial insights, advanced analytics, data strategy, and general healthcare analytics
- Oncology or specialty diagnostics experience would be helpful
- Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in a quantitative discipline. Advanced degree preferred (Ph.D., BA)
- Coding experience in Excel, SQL, Python, R, Tableau, etc. preferred
- Vision and capability to challenge the status quo; proven record of elevating an analytics function and leading without authority
- Excellent attention to quality, rigor, and timeliness; high degrees of self-motivation and organization
- Comfortable with an agile environment with frequent changes in scope or direction
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a team-based environment and partner with external/internal stakeholders; demonstrated experience in assessing and addressing stakeholder needs through influence, conflict resolution, and negotiation

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $119,840 to $185,600 USD. The range does not include benefits, and if applicable, bonus, commission, or equity. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries across all US locations for the posted role.
