As an Associate Director of Category Management, this role provides guidance to and influences business stakeholders of indirect spend categories with particular emphases on Information Technology.   This individual will drive value for spend categories, grow and sustain partnerships with business stakeholders while enabling  AbbVie to be a customer of choice for suppliers under the guidance of the team Director.  

Responsibilities

• Maximize category value by employing the following levers: Sourcing & Price Management, Demand Management, Transformational Sourcing, Specification Harmonization, & Process Optimization
• Member of team that develops and guides category long range plan including strategy development, implementation, & modification
• Provide leadership and strategic vision for AbbVie to optimize company value through selection of quality suppliers, fact-based negotiations, and performance-based contracting to protect the company's i
