Employees in this role have responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating assignments. This involves exploration of subject area, definition of scope, selection of areas for investigation, and development and implementation of novel concepts. 

 

Duties & Responsibilities 

• Subject matter expert (SME) of innovation in assigned subject areas 
• Manages small to medium level projects without direct people management responsibilities 
• Influences project teams in engineering aspects of the technical works 
• Maintains familiarity with the progress and problems in assigned technical areas 
• Collaborates and demonstrates leadership with national and international industry SMEs 
• Communicates and collaborates with vendors of state-of-the-art technology 
• Engages with research community and technology developers to guide and inform technology development targets 
• Collaborates with multi-discipline teams for problem solving, betterment opportunities, and systems integration 
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned 

Job Overview

Employees in this role make decisions and recommendations having significant impact on extensive engineering and related activities for the company. This position negotiates critical and controversial issues with top level engineers and officers of other organizations and companies.
