The Opportunity: 
As an expert in defense missions, your unique background inspires you to think bigger, push further, and ask questions others don’t. We need your extensive industry knowledge and advisory skills to solve some of our clients’ most complex problems—and find solutions that keep our nation safe. 

Participate as a logistics subject matter expert in support of the DoD and their projects. The project seeks to build partner capacity to improve equipment readiness of U.S. defense articles in selected SOUTHCOM partner nations. You'll advise and assist senior staff to identify, analyze, and provide solutions to complex security cooperation requirements within construct and work with countries in the SOUTHCOM Area of Responsibility. You will support the development and delivery of sustainable equipment lifecycle management practices and life cycle costing methodologies for U.S. defense articles, support design and delivery of a SOUTHCOM readiness reporting system, You'll support SOUTHCOM hosted program management reviews, equipment readiness reporting reviews, and Life Cycle Management reviews, prepare presentations, after-action reviews, and other written products for support.

You Have:  

• Experience with logistics focusing on maintenance, and supply chain management

• Experience with inventory management, obsolescence management, life-cycle management practices, lifecycle costing methodologies, maintenance operations, and materiel readiness reporting   

• Experience with military logistics at the strategic, operational, and tactical levels

• Experience with logistics at the operational or strategic levels with U.S. or Allied Headquarters, such as the Joint Staff, OSD, a Combatant Command or a supporting service component, or Service Staff

• Knowledge of security cooperation authorities, processes, procedures, and resources

• Ability to travel frequently

• Ability to read, write, and speak in the Spanish language

• Secret clearance

• Master’s degree in International Relations or Supply Chain Management

Nice If You Have:  

• Experience working with allied, coalition, or partner nations related to security cooperation efforts

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
