We’re searching for an experienced Senior Art Director with the confidence and skill to run with a concept from brief to delivery who’s ready to bring critical thinking and hands-on creative execution to our in-house team. This position leads the development of brand-forward, visually cohesive content across digital, motion, photo/video, web and print. —.

This is a hybrid role: part strategic problem solver, part visual storyteller and part execution powerhouse. You’ll collaborate closely with the Creative Director, assist the creative team and work cross-functionally to elevate Copeland’s visual presence across all platforms.

As a Senior Art Director, You Will:

  • Concept, craft and implement creative assets, including presentations, infographics, illustrations, print materials, advertising, graphics, etc., across a wide range of channels such as social media, web, events and corporate communications
  • Build and guide visual storytelling for campaigns, product launches and brand initiatives
  • Collaborate with internal team members to ensure creative output aligns with business and brand goals
  • Lead all aspects of or contribute to photo and video shoots (pre-production planning, onsite direction, post-production reviews)
  • Develop motion graphics, animations and video content (openers, lower thirds, transitions)
  • Provide art direction to photo/video vendors when needed
  • Help maintain and evolve Copeland’s brand system and design standards

Required Education, Experience & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience
  • 5 years of experience in graphic design, art direction or a related creative field
  • A standout portfolio that demonstrates strong conceptual thinking, typography and design excellence and versatility across mediums
  • Expertise in Adobe Creative Cloud (especially Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects and Premiere Pro)
  • Solid understanding of video production workflows and creative direction for motion
  • Working knowledge of web design principles and tools (experience with Figma or web CMS a plus)
  • Strong experience with digital content and social media creative
  • Shown ability to work independently and mhandlemultiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills and comfort presenting work to internal clients and collaborators
  • Ability to work well under pressure, adapt to changing priorities and situations, and handle challenging deadlines optimally
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to coordinate a daily workload and prioritize tasks using project management software
  • Legal work authorization in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this role

Preferred Education, Experience & Skills:

  • Experience with photo and video art direction, including lighting and composition
  • Familiarity with B2B marketing, technical products or complex industries
  • Experience guiding or mentoring other designers or working in a leadership capacity

Collaboration First Hybrid Work Arrangements:

This role is hybrid eligible with the requirement to be in office at least three days per week. Colleagues are expected to demonstrate a collaboration first mindset, which is the understanding that teams will work together in-person and colleagues should be flexible to adjust their hybrid days based on business needs.
