As the Head of Insurance Engineering at Porch Group, you’ll have the rare opportunity to spearhead the implementation of a new policy administration system and launch cutting-edge capabilities that redefine how we serve agents, consumers, and partners. You’ll work alongside a high-performing, mission-driven team that’s passionate about building scalable, compliant, and customer-centric solutions—all while shaping the future of Insurtech from the ground up. You’ll report to the VP of Engineering and lead teams spanning engineering, configuration, and compliance across the US, South America, and India.

What You Will Do as a Director of Engineering, Insurance Division

• Collaborate with product, finance, design, and business to define and execute a multi-year engineering vision and strategy that aligns with Porch’s vision for Advantaged Underwriting and Best Services for Homeowners.
• Deliver customer focused solutions for independent agents, consumers, reinsurance partners and regulators that help us grow PIF faster than FTE and a superior gross loss ratio along with written premium growth.
• Champion the use of AI to optimize and modernize workflows to build a best-in-class insurance platform with industry leading KPIs and scale.
• Deliver a compliance focused set of technology solutions that meet NAIC, SEC and other regulatory requirements without sacrificing cost or great customer (agent and consumer) experience.
