What Your Day-To-Day Will Involve:
- Collect, clean, and organize operational data to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Utilize data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Python, Tableau) to generate visual reports that support business decision-making.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) regularly (for example – First pass yield, production performance, OLE, OEE, etc.) and identify trends /issues.
- Extract operations data for analysis, leadership support and responses to ad hoc data requests.
- Develop, maintain and enhance operational metric database tools for the broader analytics teams.
- Identify and solve current gaps in data requirements and ease of access to ensure fast and consistent responses to leadership and ad hoc inquiries.
- Implement all aspects required for successful MES deployment, including architecting, modeling and setup, testing, troubleshooting, training setup and delivery, and ongoing support and maintenance.
- As part of the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) team, this role plays a critical part in the transition from a manual, paper-based system to a fully integrated MES solution
- Working directly with our MES software provider to escalate critical issues and inform the roadmap of future enhancements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that the system configuration aligns with production, regulatory, quality and business needs
- Ensure accurate and timely input of data into the MES to enable seamless production reporting and traceability
- Identify areas for process improvement, driving continuous improvement initiatives within the MES environment
The Qualifications We Need You to Possess
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Manufacturing Technology, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience. Masters degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in data analysis and/or data engineering focused on operations, including manufacturing and supply chain.
- Experience with digital transformation initiatives, functional knowledge of MES system(s) in a manufacturing environment with a strong understanding of manufacturing principles, industry standards, and a keen eye for detail.
- Proficiency in Tableau, SQL database scripts, Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Excel), knowledge of Access; willingness to learn other software tools
- Comprehensive understanding of FDA regulations and ISO standards
- Experience with ERP systems, asset management and supply chain management software integration of these systems into an MES system
- Strong troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose issues and implement effective solutions
