Optical Director

Here’s what you’ll be doing:

• Oversees Optometry staff, including work allocation, training, problem resolution, and performance management
• Provides direct patient eye care, including those duties listed for Staff Optometrist.
• Manages fiscal responsibility for Optometry department
• Prepare, reviews, and revises policies and procedure manual for Optometry at least annually
• Oversees department quality improvement initiatives and key indicator studies
• Prepares, reviews and presents quarterly statistical and financial reports, developing a plan of action to address any concerns
• Reviews all clinical concerns submitted related to optical incidents or quality of care issues as presented or identified utilizing the prescribed peer review format
• Participates as a member of the Clinical Leaders Team

 

What you’ll need to be successful:

• Doctorate Degree in Optometry with an OD; three (3) years clinic experience; one (1) year director experience
• FQHC or Native American clinic experience preferred
• Current WI and DEA
• Must successfully pass all applicable background checks and drug screens
•  (Health Only) FCP complies with all CDC vaccine and testing recommendations for healthcare professionals. Proof of immunizations is required and immunizations/testing provided upon hire.
