About the role

Chubb’s Global Safety, Security and Business Continuity (GSSBCM) has critical areas that are driven by a Duty of Care to protect our people, property, reputation, and brand. GSSBCM acts as a shared service to support Chubb Business Units and Corporate functions – as an integrator that can assist with reducing risk, and enhancing resilience, through deliberate planning, progressively challenging exercises, and transparent policies and processes. 

The Senior Security Specialist, NY Security Operations, will be primarily overseeing day to day security operations at NYC offices to ensure safety of all Chubb personnel, property and assets in greater New York City area. They will be responsible for supervising security staff, implementing security procedures and ensuring the safety and security of our facilities, assets and personnel. 

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervise and lead a team of security officers, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management.
  • Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and protocols to safeguard company assets, and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Conduct regular assessment of security risks and vulnerabilities and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Coordinate with other Departments, such as facilities management and Human Resources to address security related issues and concerns.
  • Manage the deployment of security personnel and resources to effectively cover all areas of the facility.
  • Monitor security systems and equipment ensuring they are properly maintained and operational.
  • Investigate security incidents, accidents, and breaches, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Prepare and maintain security documentation, reports, records, including incident reports and training materials.
  • Stay informed about developments in security technology, best practices, and regulations and make recommendations to leadership for improvements. 
  • Serve as the primary form of contact for external security vendors, contractors, and law enforcement agencies. 
  • Immediate notification to Director of Security and Leadership for any problematic incidents.

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, security management, and or related field preferred.
  • Prior law enforcement background or prior security preferred.
  • Knowledge of Laws and regulations.
  • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft word and databases used to administer passes to guests. 
  • Proficient in the use of surveillance equipment and security systems.
  • CPR and Defibrillator Trained.
  • Threat, Hazard recognition, and Emergency Action Trained a plus.
  • Physically fit and able to stand or walk for extended periods of time when needed.
  • Flexibility to work various shift including nights, weekends, and Holidays

The pay range for the role is $71,500 to $115,000. The specific offer will depend on an applicant’s skills and other factors. This role may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program.  Chubb offers a comprehensive benefits package, more details on which can be found on our careers website. The disclosed pay range estimate may be adjusted for the applicable geographic differential for the location in which the position is filled.
