The Work You Will Do:
This is an advanced environmental professional position expected to offer new ideas for doing business, evaluate issues and make recommendations to improve operational efficiency, and provide a complete work product timely and in need of minimal editing. This position will:
- Oversee the coordination, review and evaluation of projects under Florida’s Power Plant and Transmission Line Siting Acts including site certifications, modifications, and post-certification amendments.
- Provide technical assistance and guidance to Department districts and other agencies, prospective applicants, consultants, and the general public on matters related to site certification projects and processes.
- Represent the Department and/or testify at public meetings and administrative hearings.
- Develop guidance documents and training presentations of Siting procedures.
- Evaluate and recommend revision of applicable Siting rules.
- Work closely with the Siting program attorney.

This position assists the Siting Coordination Office which is responsible for the coordination of processing electrical transmission and power plant applications filed under the Siting Acts.
This position works closely with all divisions in the Department, as well as other state and local agencies, to ensure Siting projects will comply with applicable regulations.
