Employment Classification: Contract Project Consultant

We are currently working with a client in the Philadelphia area who is in need of a Project Manager as part of a large business transformation effort. This PM role will be focused on data migration and integration aspect and prior experience in this area is required. Experience in working with IT application development and testing teams throughout the SDLC is also required.
Project Length: 12+ months
Location: Hybrid/Philadelphia, PA (2-4 days per month in the office)
Responsibilities
- Develop master plans (consolidated views) of several linked related plans and drives.
- Level resources to determine impacts across plans and manage multiple master plans.
- Assist in the development of complex projects' budgets, apply EV analysis across multiple projects while managing resource plan to budget and report on "planned vs. actual" budget variances.
- Reconcile multi-project budget reports across department budgets, manage multi-project resource plans, propose optimal budgeting strategies within policy to best meet the business needs and report impacts to capital and expense budget categories.
- Promote and apply QA best practices, define/collect and interpret QA metrics and diagrams (using Pareto, Cause/Effect, Trend Analysis, Statistical Sampling) and clearly defines link between requirements and technology solution.
- Lead routine and ad-hoc status reviews with all stakeholders validating project status claims and clarifying roles and responsibilities, developing accurate, detailed consolidated reports to continuously manage expectations
- Develop data migration, conversion, and integration plans and create test plans to ensure data quality.
- Develop resource plans that align unique project needs with team members' skillsets/career interests and applies various techniques to build/maintain a unified team view/focus on project objectives.
- Develop mitigation and contingency plans for common risks, leads risk identification seminars to develop project specific mitigations and contingencies, updates risk plans as conditions warrant and considers risk during the change management process.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required in business, or related field.
- 7+ years of experience in a project management environment, with experience working across technology and digital; PMP Certification desired.
- Healthcare insurance experience is desired.
- Experience with data migrations and Experience in applying PM best practices, tools, techniques, and methods (planning, estimating, staffing, managing/controlling.
- Experience in managing multiple high risk/high visibility mission critical/strategic cross-functional global projects as a recognized expert in PM methodologies.
- Extensive experience in multiple and diverse environments and applications.
- Ability to discuss industry and marketplace trends and directions and site relevant case studies.
- Experience working with application and deployment development teams across the SDLC.
- Strong Leadership skills
- Ability to manage complex technology projects from planning through closure.
- Experience in Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies
- Experience working in fast-paced environments and the ability to seek creative solutions to complex issues.
- Proven communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
- Act as a supportive team player who actively develops relationships and is eager to share knowledge with colleagues and our clients.
