Responsible for:

Must function as the point of contact and representative for all surveys and related tasks.

Will serve as a compliance resource for all of Cura-HPC.

Will drive specific compliance and regulatory projects requested by the Vice- President and Compliance Board.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

*Perform on site Mock Surveys quarterly or prn.

*Must have a Growth initiative.

*Strong focus on the accurate technical billing execution.

*Responsible for the management and execution of PIPs [in conjunction with the Branch Directors]

*Knowledge of Medical Coding for billing and accurate recording for patient records.

*Responsible to drive and coordinate tasks and management associate with the following audits: Special Focus Program [SFP], Targeted Probe and Education [TPE], Supplemental Medical Review Contractor [SMRC], Unified Program Integrity Contractor [UPIC] Recover Audits, Office of Inspector General [OIG], and the Department of Justice.

*Responsible for the survey readiness of each location ongoing.

*Strong initiative to make sure front-end billing is accurately recorded by the admissions       coordinator [consents are accurately completed]

*Owner, trainer, and driver of the accurate utilization of the HOPE tool.

*Responsible to complete weekly schedule and reports as needed.

*Be personally accountable to set and represent Cura-HPC’s cultural standards

*New staff training on compliance and regulatory standards

* Verify Physicians license and CMS verification are up to date and accurately ongoing

*Coordination of compliance training for staff, also includes the set-up of Weatherbee training and travel.

* Strong communication skills and teamwork skills with patients, families, hospice, leadership, staff, and Liaisons.

* Serve as a resource for patients and families if needed.

*Study and become extremely knowledgeable of the hospice benefit to educate staff and branch directors in a consultative, supportive manner.

*Responsible for the continued review of Policies and Procedures and the documented QAPI program, in conjunction with other leadership.

*Participates monthly in the Triple check process.

*Assist with the roll-out of programs and EMR and other systems.

*Reviews and assist with the education and training on the PEPPER reports. Directly responsible for creating the annual Plan of Corrections based on the high-risk areas within the report.

*Must exemplify the companies, mission, vision, and attitudinal traits as a designated representative of the company.

*Instrumental in the education and training of providing Continuous Care and General Impatient Care if eligible as stated in the hospice benefit.

Qualifications

Has strong background in Hospice Administration. Hospice Compliance/Quality Assurance Performance Improvement Coordination experience a plus. 5+ years of supervisory/administrative experience in healthcare.
