<p>The Sanctions and Screening Controls is a Risk function within Danske Bank’s 1st Line of Defence, responsible for setting requirements towards the end-to-end Sanctions Programme and Screening (Sanctions, PEP, and Adverse Media).</p>
<p>As part of 1st Line of Defence your role will entail securing transparency of risks, controls, and processes across Danske Bank. You'll be at the forefront of risk-related decisions, promoting effectiveness, efficiency, and transparency. In addition, you will be exposed to a variety of stakeholders across the Group, communicating findings, testing, and proposing actions that should be taken. It is a great opportunity for networking with colleagues on all seniority levels and getting to know the company from different angles. </p>

<p><strong>Main responsibilities </strong></p>
<p>You will shape the future of Danske Bank by presenting comprehensive risk profiles, steering decision-making, and influencing top-level management practices. While being a catalyst for sustainable risk oversight, your tasks will include:</p>
<ul>
<li>Defining and developing key risk and performance metrics for the controls owned by the team;</li>
<li>Analysing and providing judgments towards improvement of the controls;</li>
<li>Reporting of risks and performance to senior stakeholders;</li>
<li>Acting as a liaison with the internal and external audit and other evaluation functions;</li>
<li>Managing Sanctions and Screening change agenda, promoting it through adequate risk forums and committees;</li>
<li>Documenting and maintaining repository of Sanctions and Screening end-to-end controls and processes, including the relevant risk sign-offs;</li>
<li>Developing processes and tools related to identification and reporting of screening gaps;</li>
<li>Securing and managing change strategy of the Sanctions and Screening Controls;</li>
</ul>

<p><strong>Your profile</strong></p>
<p>This role requires possessing deep knowledge of end-to-end Sanctions and Screening programmes and operating frameworks, with ability to identify risks requiring escalation. Being exposed to a variety of stakeholders and becoming their sparring partner, you should possess great communication skills, being clear and concise while presenting both verbally and in writing.</p>

<p>To top it up, to be successful in this job, we imagine you have:</p>
<ul>
<li>+ 5 years of relevant experience in financial services or regulatory agency;</li>
<li>Proven experience and understanding of Sanctions or Screening programmes;</li>
<li>Higher education;</li>
<li>Strong decision-making skills, demonstrating sound judgement and being able to justify taken actions;</li>
<li>Advanced interpersonal skills, in order to collaborate well with peers and stakeholders on all seniority levels, from various locations;</li>
<li>Proficiency in English, both in speaking and writing;</li>
</ul>

<p><strong>We offer</strong></p>
<p>This position can be located in either Poland or Lithuania. If you are situated in Lithuania, your salary for a Senior Officer position will range from 3360 to 5040 EU, and job title on your contract will be Officer - Business Risk & Controls, Senior.</p>
<p>Please note that depending on your experience and skillset, we can offer you different seniority. </p>
