Grand Canyon University’s Colangelo College of Business (CCOB), Colangelo College of Business, is seeking a full-time faculty member to teach Economics. We are especially interested in applicants who can strengthen the diversity of our academic community.
Please note, the economics faculty position is located at our main campus in Phoenix, AZ.

What you will do:
Teach two finance or financial planning courses each semester; be engaging by preparing lectures that stimulate classroom discussions
Lead the peer-to-peer financial counseling program; obtain training materials and resources for peer counselors; recruit, select, train, and supervise 8-12 student counselors, set up scheduling, promote the program, track participation & feedback
Network to provide internships and job placements for students
Perform other duties to assist with other Finance Department tasks and events; participate in faculty and CCOB meetings and College/University committee activities; potential for community outreach
Continue to remain current in the field of finance and financial planning and effective teaching techniques.
Support the integrity of the GCU Christian mission, faith integration & learning outcomes
What you need:
MBA/Finance/Financial Planning graduate degree
Hold the CFP® certificationIndustry experience in the application of economics.
Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission of Grand Canyon University.
Bonus Points:
PhD or DBA in Personal Financial Planning, Finance, or related business discipline
Significant (5+ years desired), industry experience in the application of economics.
Ability and experience teaching across disciplines (e.g. finance) is a plus.
