POSITION SUMMARY

The Pump Panel Mechanical Designer will utilize Creo Parametric and Windchill PDM software to aid in the design, development, and sustainment of municipal fire apparatus pump panels.  They will closely coordinate with purchasing, production leadership, engineering, and post sales to ensure vehicles are built to meet customer and industry requirements.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

The scope and duties of a given position may change or be temporarily altered based on the business needs of Rosenbauer. 

  1. Designs pump panels on computer using solid works program.
  2. Read and interpret specifications book to create panel.
  3. Physically takes measurements of trucks to ensure the panel with be workable.
  4. Send completed works to metal fabrication to be created.
  5. Create models as needed to have in inventory for later use.
  6. Works with Project Managers when issues arise for customer approval.
  7. Performs other duties and responsibilities as required by management to meet the needs of the organization and our members.

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSA’s): The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.

K

Knowledge, Education, and/or Experience:

  • High school diploma/GED required.
  • Associate’s degree in mechanical Drafting or Design preferred.
  • Experience using Creo Parametric and Windchill PDM software required.
  • Experience in PDM preferred.

S

Skills:

Language:

  • Able to read and interpret scientific and technical documents.
  • Able to actively participate discussions by listening and asking relevant questions.
  • Able to follow written and verbal directions.

Math:

  • Basic math functions and accounting abilities with a high aptitude for accuracy.

Computer:

  • Able to work within SolidWorks, CAD, and PDM.
  • Able to perform intermediate PC functions in Microsoft Office including the use of spreadsheet tables and formulas.
