• Design and prototype front-end user interfaces that are simple and elegant for Facebook's platforms, products, or applications.
• Take broad, conceptual product ideas and translate them into functional, scalable designs to be used for front-end application development.
• Create wireframes and mockups for User Experience (UX) and User Interface (UI) products.
• Utilize a full range of design, human-computer interaction, and visual design skills to seek out creative solutions to complex product issues.
• Partner with engineering teams to ensure the compatibility of front-end design components with the technical specifications of a given product.
• Partner with product managers, engineers, researchers, and content strategists to oversee the development of the user experience and user interface assets of a product from conception until launch.
• Ensure design assets for frontend product design are compatible with Facebook's brand.
• Develop innovative user interfaces and user-facing products that offer new app functions and features and improve existing app functions and features.
• Provide additional post-launch design support to maximize continued product efficiency.

Minimum Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Design and Technology, or a related field and 60 months of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in job offered or related occupation. Foreign degree equivalent accepted. Position also requires:
• 1. Building and shipping applications or software at the level of whole features across a variety of platforms
• 2. Interaction design, including defining how an experience should behave based on understanding people's needs
• 3. Prototyping
• 4. Visual design, typography, desktop/mobile UI, color or layout, iconography
• 5. Creating user flow and mockups to articulate design concepts
• 6. Defining product specifications and user experiences
• 7. Understanding and interpreting user research and usability testing
• 8. Conducting end to end design process across multiple projects including interaction and visual design artifacts and high-fidelity prototypes
• 9. Building and shipping applications or software at company-level scale
• 10. Leading end to end design process across multiple projects including interaction and visual design artifacts, multiple iterations, and high-fidelity prototypes
• 11. Developing product goals, identifying opportunities in a global market, and making strategic design decisions based on impact to the company and,
• 12. Partnering with cross-functional partners to drive product strategy with a user-centric approach leveraging design thinking methodologies and best practices.
