We lead the BIM process at organisational, programme and project level through: 

  1. Discovery and understanding 

  1. Client adoption strategy and strategic project setup 

  1. Project and programme BIM execution planning 

  1. BIM implementation, information management and supply chain management 

  1. BIM compliance checking and data verification

Job summary 

Due to growing demand for our consultancy services we are seeking to recruit an experienced Associate Director for BIM.  With a focus on delivering technology into major Natural Resources and Infrastructure projects, and emphasis on aiding the growth of this busy division, we are seeking an individual with a demonstrable track record of delivery in a consultancy environment, as well as the ability to create and grow client relationships leading to increased revenue and an enhanced brand profile. 

Specific duties 

  • Identify commercial opportunities within the Sweden market and develop an approach to deliver benefit for the client, project and project team 

  • Implement change within client organisations including Turner & Townsend and assist with upskilling to guide and mentor clients through the BIM process 

  • Create an environment for excellence and innovation within your team 

  • Support and influence the strategic direction for Turner & Townsend knowledge development with regards to BIM 

  • Mentor and support staff and project teams in model creation and project processes, ensuring correct data and data structure 

  • Lead and support our team in the implementation of BIM on major projects and programmes.  

  • Authoring of key BIM documentation such as Asset Information Requirements, Employer Information Requirements and where applicable, BIM Execution Plans. 

  • Assessing project teams BIM competency, advising the development of the project BIM Execution Plans and approving on behalf of Client where necessary. 

  • Assure project BIM standards are being followed by project stakeholders reporting key risks and effective mitigations. 

  • Lead model assurance activities including; definition of strategy and approach, model analysis, technical and plain language reporting. 

  • Chair and lead BIM workgroup and Technical BIM sessions with the project team to present outcomes of model assurance activities. 

  • Research, develop and implement areas of new technology, process and emerging best practices. 

  • Continuingly develop in-house standards and capabilities. 

  • Provide support to the wider business with tender bidding teams to win future work. 

  • Advise Turner & Townsend's project managers and project teams with regard to BIM best practices  

  • Oversee and interface with Design Team and Information managers to ensure information coordination 

  • Review and approve BIM documentation and strategic documents

  • Understand and assess BIM competency of supply chains, clients and design teams
