JOB LOCATION: This position is hiring locally in South Jordan, Utah and requires a hybrid schedule of 3-days/week in office (T,W,Th). We are not hiring out of state or relocating for this position.

Job Description
Please Read: This is an accounting & finance role with required experience in accounting, revenue recognition and a degree in finance and/or accounting or the equivalent experience. This is not a data analysis or statistical analysis role.
This position is key to resolving costs that directly affect the bottom line. There is ample opportunity for growth, recognition and visibility in this role. The difficulties in this role include becoming familiar with the industry, the fast paced nature of how Cricut operates, and learning the systems that Cricut uses.
The position is with the Accounting Operations team and they will report to the Accounting Operations Manager, working alongside Claims, Fraud Prevention and Returns.

The Revenue Compliance Analyst will review fines and claims received from retail partners and will:
- Thoroughly analyze fines from major retailers to identify underlying issues and implement preventative measures.
- Collaborate with internal teams to collect relevant details for fine dispute resolution.
- Maintain comprehensive and precise records of fine cases, including documentation and communication.
- Provide accurate reporting to track fine trends, dispute outcomes and Provide actionable insight to management.
- Regularly assess fine processes to improve efficiency.
- Review mismatching reports for categorization and identify root cause.
- Provide support to the Accounting team by completing various tasks/controls relating to revenue recognition. Including, but not limited to, reviewing shipment information for completeness and cutoff of revenue recognition, and reviewing Contractual Entitlement payment requests with customers
Qualifications
- Attention to detail.
- Degree in Accounting, Finance or similar. Or, in lieu of a degree, proven relevant accounting experience with the equivalent years of experience.
- Accounting background with revenue recognition experience, ideally at a company similar in size to Cricut (note that we are a publicly traded company)
- Sufficient years of experience equivalent with a mid-level accounting professional in an individual contributor role.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with correct use of grammar and punctuation.
- Ability to ask questions, use logical thought process to analyze and resolve the fine/claim; ability to dive deeper to find root causes of why the fine occurred in the first place and provide recommendations on how to eliminate or minimize the occurrence of the fine in the future.
- Excellent Excel skills, specifically Pivot Table, XLookup, Charts. Ability to analyze and organize large spreadsheets of data.
- Someone who is familiar with the industry in which Cricut operates and enjoys helping people lead better lives through creativity.
- Having persistence, professionalism, and a good sense of humor will help pave the way to success in this role.
