About the role

Enterprise Workforce Management is a new capability that is being built at Citi that provides Citi leaders and managers with frameworks, standards, procedures, and tools to ensure adequate Organizational Health and Resource Management across the bank. The Workforce Management Group Manager is a strategic professional who closely follows latest trends in own field and adapts them for application within own job and the business. This role is responsible for the management and implementation of Citi’s efforts around staffing, skill adequacy and organization design. Excellent communication skills are required in order to negotiate internally, often at a senior level. Advanced diplomacy skills are required to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers.  Accountable for significant direct business results or authoritative advice regarding the operations of the business.  Necessitates responsibility over technical strategy and for handling staff management issues, including resource management and allocation of work within the team/project. Strong communication and diplomacy skills are required as well as ability to handle ambiguity, direct others and thrive in a fast paced environment. Full management responsibility of a team or multiple teams, including management of people, budget and planning, to include performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary actions and terminations and budget approval.

Responsibilities:

  • Advises/consults with business leaders on staffing, resourcing, and skills priorities.  Leverages headcount and finance analytics to share insights and drive programs.
  • Leads the development and implementation of comprehensive workforce plans that aligns with organizational goals, ensuring the right talent is in the right place at the right time.
  • Continuously evaluates workforce planning processes to identify areas of improvement, ensuring the organization remains agile in response to shifting business needs.
  • Lead the identification, assessment, and development of key skills within the workforce, ensuring the organization can meet current and future needs.  Collaborate with Learning and Development to design and implement upskilling and reskilling programs.    
  • Lead the development and execution of accurate workforce forecasts and schedules ensuring business needs are met.  Integrate predictive and other analytics tools into forecasting processes to anticipate future workforce needs and potential challenges, enabling proactive decision making.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive dashboards and reports that track key workforce metrics, providing actionable insights to inform strategic decisions.
  • Participate in the evaluation and implementation of new technologies that enhance workforce management capabilities.
  • Maintain and train a Workforce management community within HR and business stakeholders, upskilling on the approach and a knowledge base to support a broad range of Workforce management activities across Citi
  • Ensure the effective use of workforce management software and analytics tools
  • Drive continuous improvement to initiatives within the workforce management and skills management processes, identifying and implementing best practices to enhance service delivery.
  • Partners with senior executives, HRAs, Talent Acquisition, Finance, COO, among other key stakeholders to identify global solutions for workforce management initiatives.
  • Leads regulatory response and adhere to regulatory commitments with regards to workforce planning, including meeting all relevant deliverables, meeting Internal Audit requirements, and delivering board and regulatory staffing and skill adequacy reports
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years experience
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with an emphasis on MS Excel
  • Self-motivated and detail oriented

Education:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred; managerial experience
