The ISO Underwriting unit of Verisk Insurance Solutions is hiring a Product Director, Generative AI Underwriting to lead and develop underwriting solutions utilizing generative AI within the commercial property market.  The candidate must have an innovator mentality, strong analytical skills, and the ability to translate an idea into a compelling reality that will enhance commercial property solutions.

Responsibilities: 

• Own and execute an ambitious vision for generative AI solutions within the commercial insurance market to ensure the delivery of innovative solutions.  

• Leverage customer interactions and market research to identify new product innovations and enhancements, including new technology and external partnership opportunities. 

• Create, launch, message, and evaluate product releases with development partners. 

• Collaborate with design, marketing, and development to create an exceptional experience. 

• Liaise between product, marketing, IT, engineering, and sales colleagues to ensure streamlined messaging. 

• Identify software enhancements using data, stakeholder interviews, and industry trends. 

• Lead the product portion of sales opportunities to ensure delivery and effective positioning of the solution’s value proposition and customer comfort with the product capabilities. 

• Being the primary liaison with Software Development and engineering in the development of product specifications, use cases, testing, and release planning. 

• Think strategically to create features that serve the underwriting workflow to achieve efficiency and data quality goals. 

• Communicate your product ideas across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree. Advanced degree preferred 

• Minimum 8 years’ experience creating, managing, and delivering on a solid product roadmap 

• Experience proven track record with bringing products to the market. Go to market strategy/experience 

• Basic understanding and experience with software development life cycle 

• Basic understanding of generative AI capabilities 

• Solid understanding of software agile development principals 

• Experience collaborating with design and engineering teams to deliver product features 

• Excellent organizational and project management skills with experience coordinating multiple, time-sensitive projects simultaneously 

• Strong critical thinking, analytical problem-solving and negotiating skills; business creativity is a must 

• 25% travel
