Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking an Aft Body Quality Manager (Level K) to join our 787 Aft Body Quality team based in North Charleston, SC on 2nd shift.

The Quality Manager will oversee inspection activities, production control, process improvement, and Lean/BPS. In this role, there will be regular interaction with the cross-functional production support team, Operations, senior leadership, and regulatory agencies. This position requires strong leadership and people skills, ability to problem solve and be proactive to identify issues and to develop and communicate corrective actions plans that drive defect elimination and first pass quality.

Position Responsibilities

  • Performs management activities across multiple (2 or more) Quality Management Job Families.

  • Develops and executes business plans, policies and procedures and develops organizational and technical strategies.

  • Provides education and coaching on the Quality Management System.

  • Acquires and manages resources and leads process improvements.

  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, suppliers and direct reports.

  • Manages, coaches, develops, and motivates employees.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)

  • 3+ years of experience in Aerospace, Manufacturing, Quality, or experience in a regulated industry.

  • 1+ years of experience in Quality Assurance.

  • 1+ years of experience in leading teams (This includes managing team assignments, tracking status and developing a team’s talent.)

  • 1+ years of experience with organizational and team building skills performed in a cross-functional environment.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

  • Bachelor's degree in related field

  • Experience in quality leadership

  • Experience working in production support
