Saint John’s Program for Real Change mission is to provide a safe space for women and children to heal and develop the skills necessary to transform their lives. We accomplish our mission by holding to our vision to end the generational cycle of trauma and homelessness.
We operate the largest residential program for formerly homeless women and children in the Sacramento region providing services 24 hours/day, 365 days/year, offering shelter, meals, childcare, and comprehensive support services, including Behavioral Health Services, Hands-on Employment Training, Career Education, and Family Services.

Position Overview
TITLE Childcare Teacher
SALARY From $37,440 To $45,760 Annually
CLASSIFICATION Full-Time, Non-Exempt, Seasonal
LOCATION On Site – Jackson Rd. Sacramento, CA and YMCA
SCHEDULE Monday- Friday, 8:45 am to 5:15 pm
About the Position…
The Childcare Teacher works under the supervision of the Children's Program Supervisor to create a nurturing and stimulating environment for children. As a Childcare Teacher you will be responsible for promoting children’s physical, emotional and social development through prepared evidenced based curriculum and assessments and creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for children. You will be responsible for effective and efficient delivery of services to all children, clients, and volunteers. This position is responsible for the safety and security of children and the facility and for supervising all children.
