Job Purpose
BorgWarner is currently looking for a “dynamic, results driven” individual to join as a (Sr.) HR Generalist at our Propulsion Technical Center in Auburn Hills, MI.
The HR Generalist is responsible for the Turbos and Thermal Technologies PTC employee groups, performing advanced-level Human Resources Generalist support on partnerships with various stakeholders to help build and deliver on key business strategies and support the regional HR Director with special projects as required.
There is a strong focus on the entire employee life cycle, including: employee engagement, employee development, talent acquisition, structure, process and project management. Key responsibilities include, but not limited to: employee relations, talent sourcing, development of policy/procedure implementation and compliance, learning and development, performance management, and compensation. Facilitates a collaborative working environment and implements appropriate change management initiatives. Reports to Regional HR Director for Americas.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for providing comprehensive Generalist support within all facets of Human Resources for the Turbos and Thermal Technologies (TTT) PTC employees including business partnership, development, diagnosis of organizational needs, and employee relations.
- Effectively communicates, establishes and maintains effective employee relations with all levels of management and employees at PTC.
- Ensure effective talent sourcing and recruitment strategies to meet the needs of the business using the appropriate mix of internal and external recruitment, and planning for development of internal talent.
- Key User of HR Systems. Manages data integrity through auditing and ensures compliance.
- Responsible for HR data and analytics, including but not limited to: HR reporting for finance, and ad hoc reporting as required.
- Trains employees as required. Supports development of new learning programs.
- Recommends best practices and new approaches for policies and procedures to continually improve the efficiency of the Human Resources department and services performed.
- Provide support to PTC management and assists in performance and talent management processes.
- Responsible for the implementation of the BW BeHeard Engagement Survey including communication to employees, conducting action planning sessions in partnership with HR community at the PTC
- Ensure HR policies and practices are effectively communicated and compliant with all applicable federal and state law/regulations to minimize company’s exposure to legal risks and support in annual audits.
- Support PTC special events and activities.
- Safety and Health – Responsible for completing required safety training, reporting and correcting any unsafe practices as appropriate, completing work activities in a safe manner, and complying with safety and health requirements for respective position.
