Senior Certification Flight Test Engineer (m/f/d)

Deine Aufgaben

• Develop project-specific and function-specific flight test plans, test cards, execute flight tests, analyze flight-recorded logs, and prepare test reports.
• Lead and oversee flight test operations as a Senior Flight Test Engineer.
• Focus on certification flight testing with experience in at least one of the following regulatory bodies: FAA, ANAC, JCAB, or EASA.
• Ensure compliance with UAV airworthiness and continued airworthiness, particularly considering UAV test equipment instrumentation.
• Conduct requirement-based functional flight testing, including failure scenario assessments, specific demonstrations, durability, reliability, and environmental envelope expansion.
• Review and approve flight test plans, test cards, and test reports.
• Collaborate closely with certification departments, ground test teams, and software/hardware development teams, working directly with development & test teams in Germany.

Dein Profil

• Master’s degree in Aviation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of professional experience in manned/unmanned flight testing with significant hands-on experience.
• Direct experience working with at least one of the following aviation authorities: ANAC, FAA, EASA, or JCAB.
• Technical Skills:
  • Strong working knowledge of PX-4 auto flight-controller and eVTOL UAS/manned aircraft systems.
  • Experience with RC-based fixed-wing aircraft and drone flying.
  • Familiarity with test-driven development, experience-based testing, and iterative V-model production development cycles.
• Licenses & Certifications:
  • Must hold an A1/A3 drone pilot license.
  • EU Class B driving license required.
• Languages:
  • Fluent in English.
  • Intermediate proficiency in German.
