Senior Data Analyst - Revenue

About the Role

You will be part of the Analytics team at Fivetran, a leader of modern analytics. We leverage the most innovative data stack and industry best-practices to provide insights for the company. You will work as a “full-stack” analyst, performing duties from data engineering to data modeling, data science, dashboarding, ad-hoc analysis, stakeholder engagement, and more.

A Senior Revenue Data Analyst would focus on creating complex transformations and improving our revenue projection and revenue attribution models. You would work in a very quantitative environment, with lots of opportunities to apply math and ML concepts.

This is a full-time, hybrid position based out of our Oakland, CA office. Our hybrid work model offers a blend of remote flexibility and in-person collaboration, including two days in the office each week to connect and build as a team.

What You’ll Do

• Develop and improve upon complex mathematical models used to project, analyze, and understand Fivetran's revenue and customers
• Work in a very quantitative environment with a strong emphasis on robust logic, math, and QA
• Build data infrastructure that is scalable, optimized, and automated, in order to deliver real-time analytics to 1000+ stakeholders across Fivetran
• Create high-impact, in-depth analyses that inform executive-level decision making; collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to define business rules, metrics, and targets
• Embody a culture of ownership, continuous learning, and operational excellence

Skills We’re Looking For

• Excellent attention to detail and critical thinking
• Advanced/expert level SQL experience
• 3+ years analyzing data
• Demonstrated experience using data and analytical abilities to help solve problems and make decisions
• Demonstrated experience using a variety of tools including SQL, Looker, Tableau, etc. to analyze and model raw data sets; experience with R or Python a plus
• Resourceful,​ ​self-motivated​ ​and​ ​able​ ​to​ ​successfully complete multiple, competing projects under tight deadlines
• Strong prioritization & organizational skills
• Excellent​ ​verbal​ ​&​ ​written​ ​communication​ ​skills; ability to effectively collaborate with a talented team of engineers, product managers and designers
• Experience using analytics to support key business decisions, preferably at a high-growth, SaaS or B2B product company

Bonus Skills​

• Experience using dbt, Python, or R
