Position Overview:

Bentley Systems seeks an experienced and dynamic Senior Director of Project Data Solutions & Optimization Engineering to lead a global team of 30-50 data specialists, reporting to 2-3 Directors/Managers. The team will focus on optimizing the use of ProjectWise alongside support and product teams at Bentley. This leader will play a key role in shaping the future of Bentley’s data solutions by standardizing customer instances within Bentley Infrastructure Cloud, enhancing the go-to-market (GTM) strategy and value proposition, and positioning Bentley as the premier organization for client advisory on data management and cloud-based data solutions. The role involves managing product configurations and collaborating with the Product Advancement Group (PAG) to drive strategic product enhancements.

The Senior Director will work directly with customers to streamline their use of the platform, helping them achieve an optimal and standardized configuration. As a key leader, this individual will oversee data experts, facilitate best practices, manage strategic customer accounts, and influence Bentley’s product development roadmap.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Team Management:

• Lead a global team of 30-50 ProjectWise data specialists, ensuring alignment with Bentley’s Infrastructure Cloud strategy.
• Mentor and guide the team in best practices for standardizing and optimizing customer instances of ProjectWise.
• Foster a collaborative team culture focused on innovation, problem-solving, and customer success.

Customer Engagement & Optimization:

• Oversee the team’s efforts to guide customers toward standardized, efficient use cases.
• Act as a senior point of contact for high-priority customer accounts, working directly with customers to help them achieve optimal use of Bentley tools.
• Lead the development and implementation of training standards for ProjectWise, empowering clients to fully leverage Bentley Infrastructure Cloud solutions.
• Define processes for account configurations and collaborate with PAG to update products accordingly.
• Define optimized workflows within ProjectWise that can scale across many accounts.
• Lead change management efforts that positively impact customer adoption.

Product & PAG Collaboration:

• Serve as a key liaison between the Data Solutions Engineering team and the Product Advancement Group (PAG), prioritizing customer feedback to inform product development.
• Advocate for necessary product enhancements to improve overall customer experience.
• Guide PAG in developing solutions tailored to unique customer needs while minimizing customization efforts.

Solution Architecture & Best Practices:

• Architect innovative solutions within the Bentley Infrastructure Cloud ecosystem, optimizing data and project workflows for customers.
• Provide guidance on the appropriate configuration of ProjectWise and other Bentley products, ensuring efficient, scalable use.
• Lead data experts in providing strategic guidance to customers on maximizing out-of-the-box functionality.
