Warehouse Cleaner

ABM is looking for General Cleaners for a large distribution center in Salt Lake City, UT for our globally recognized retail partner. Our distribution centers can be over 1 million square feet, so if you like to be constantly on the move, this role is perfect for you! The Warehouse Cleaner provides the cleaning and upkeep of an assigned area and is crucial to the success of the entire operation.

Essential Functions:

• Cleans and maintains buildings/facilities. Performs heavy cleaning duties, such as cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, washing walls and glass, and removing rubbish.  
• Notifies managers concerning the need for minor or major repairs or additions to building operating systems 
• Establishes and maintains effective communication and working relationships with clients, co-workers, shift coordinators, supervisors, managers, etc. 
• Complies with all safety, security, compliance, and quality standards and procedures established by the Company, Clients, and regulatory authorities 
• Cleaner must be flexible and willing to complete all tasks that are assigned. 

Responsibilities:

• Cleans building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them. Follows procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures. 
• Dusts furniture, walls, light fixtures.
• May remove stains from such surfaces as rugs, drapes, walls, and floors using chemicals and cleaning solutions. Mixes water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions according to specifications. 
• Cleans and vacuums carpeted areas, including application of spot cleaning treatment .
• Gathers and empties trash. 
• Wipes and cleans tabletops, chairs, and equipment in food areas. 
• Cleans and polishes furniture and fixtures.
• Cleans interior partition glass, windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees. 
• Must keep the janitor's closet neat and orderly and maintain equipment in good working order. 
• Requisitions supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties. 
• Miscellaneous duties as assigned. 

Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years of age or older 
• No previous experience is necessary. 
• We are willing to train the right individual, but they must be detail oriented and possess the willingness to learn new concepts and demonstrate the ability to perform detailed work.

Job Type: Full Time

Shifts: 3:00PM - 11:00PM (Monday - Friday)

Pay: $16.00/HR
