Senior Sterile Processing Technician - Central Sterile

The Lead Sterile Processing Technician plans and directs the cleaning, sterilization, and processing of surgical instrument trays and loaner instrumentation for Surgical Services, multiple procedure suites, and outlying patient care areas. The Sterile Processing Lead performs a variety of tasks and activities to meet the hospital's needs. The SPD Lead must manage multiple demands on his/her time to support the activity of the Surgical Services staff, facilitate the timely flow of Surgery needs, and assist with decontamination of supplies and instruments, preparing sets for and completing sterilization of supplies and instruments, ordering supplies, and ensuring that the department meets sterilization standards and is compliant at all times.

Required qualifications:

• National Certified Registered Central Service Technician - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association or National Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician - Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution or National Certified Instrument Specialist - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association upon hire.
• 3 years of Sterile Processing experience.

The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
