Job Description

Eurofins Agroscience Services is searching for a Facilities Maintenance Technician to work in Easton, MD. If you have a good attitude and a willingness to learn, this could be the job for you.

Facilities Maintenance Technician responsibilities include:

• Maintains and completes equipment logbooks.
• Completes maintenance, and assigned tasks as directed by supervisor.
• Collects and transports samples and equipment from off-site storage facilities. 
• Perform grounds maintenance including, but not limited to, mowing, removal of leaves, landscape maintenance, snow and ice removal, maintenance of driveways and parking areas.
• Assist scientists and other laboratory employees in the general day-to-day operation of the laboratory equipment.
• Maintains storage (organize and inventory), ensures equipment/supplies are available and in good working order.
• Maintain, repair, and troubleshooting laboratory equipment.
• Set up rooms and test units for studies.
• May handle regulated materials, potential biohazard materials, and toxic chemicals using proper labeling and dilution.
• Completes documentation legibly, timely, and accurately according to all regulatory requirements.
• Other duties assigned, as needed

Qualifications

The ideal candidate would possess:

• Excellent communication and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, a positive attitude and a desire to learn
• Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies
• Mechanical aptitude preferred

Basic Minimum Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Valid Driver’s License
• Solid organizational skills
• Good customer service
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Additional Information

Position is full-time, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m., with overtime required as needed.  Salary range is $17-18 an hour.  Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Easton, MD are encouraged to apply.
