Marmon Industrial Energy & Infrastructure (MIEI) - East Granby, CT is one of six specialty wire, cable, and tubing solution manufacturing companies located throughout North America. We are the experts in our industry.General Position Summary: Manage, lead, and direct the wire and cable production value stream cells within our Operations team. Champion continuous improvement initiatives in manufacturing to provide the highest quality product to customers, on time, while reducing operating costs and improving manufacturing efficiencies. Provide a safe work environment for our team members and equip team with tools & training needed to successfully complete their work. Foster an environment of inclusiveness and empowerment where results are matched with self-accountability. Responsible for all supervision, specific to the production of wire and cable and production personnel associated with manufacturing.
Essential Duties:
- This role is responsible for leading and developing a team of supervisors who collectively drive manufacturing performance by delivering operational and financial goals, modeling an uncompromising safety culture, advancing continuous improvement, strengthening talent capabilities, ensuring accountability through disciplined execution, and fostering an agile, high-performing organization aligned with business growth and operational excellence.

- Lead, inspire, and manage the manufacturing function concurrent with business volume and growth demands, introduction of new operational systems, and meet forecast and financial objectives.
- Assess and assist in upgrading the talent base within manufacturing to achieve growth strategy while meeting current market needs (i.e. reduced cost, shorter manufacturing/product introduction cycle times and on-time delivery).
- Provide leadership in the areas of continuous improvement and engage teams to help establish a continuous improvement culture. Prepare and develop improvement plan based on lean assessment results and standardized work procedures. Manage and assist in coordinating efforts between departments/cells within Company.
- Provide an environment where flexibility allows pivoting of business on demand. Constantly review processes to eliminate waste in manufacturing process areas.
- Train and educate as needed in all aspects including; lean manufacturing, team effectiveness, change management, and continuous improvement.
- Prepare, track and deliver monthly Manufacturing key performance indicators (KPI) to execute the planning production schedule while achieving customer satisfaction (OTD, Quality).
- Provide leadership to all manufacturing issues with root cause analysis and corrective action plan execution and ensure a culture of accountability.
- Create/shift/sustain a positive, accountable and agile culture that invents itself daily through continuous improvement and innovation.
- Provide leadership to manufacturing staff managers on activities that sustain the organization such as performance appraisals, employee training, communication methods, safety/health, and security policies, etc.

Education and Experience Preferred:
- Requires knowledge of an advanced field of professional or technical learning, customarily acquired through formal instruction and study, typically a B.S. or B.A. Degree.
- Requires a minimum of 10 years supervisory experience in manufacturing or related functional discipline
- Wire and cable experience highly desirable.
- Lean Six Sigma background will be an asset
