Salary Range: $38,525 to $48,000
The University of St. Thomas has provided a salary range that represents its good faith estimate of what the University may pay for the position at the time of posting. The specific salary offered will be determined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget, internal salary equity considerations, and available market information.
JOB SUMMARY
St. Thomas Athletics is seeking a Production Coordinator for its new state of the art, multipurpose, on-campus hockey and
basketball arena, as well as other on-campus venues as assigned. Duties and tasks will focus on assisting with the gameday
production, event preparation and content management of home events within Lee & Penny Anderson Arena and other
athletics venues. This position will play a major role in maintaining a high-level fan experience at St. Thomas Athletics home
events, both in-arena and on various streaming platforms, as well as pushing those experiences to an even greater level with
the opening of Lee & Penny Anderson Arena in the fall of 2025. This role is on-ground in St. Paul, MN, with minimal travel a
possibility.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Oversee the AV setup and operations for Lee & Penny Anderson Arena events, as well as other select home events, assisting with broadcast and in-house productions.
- Oversee production team in loading, testing and organizing content for Lee & Penny Anderson Arena events, as well as other select home events.
- Along with Associate Director of Live Production, manage hiring, scheduling and training of student-workers, freelancers and contractors for all home athletic events.
- Work closely with Manager of Media Production Infrastructure (ITS), Senior Media Production Systems Engineer (ITS), Senior Media Production Systems Technician (ITS), Media Production Systems Technician (ITS) and Athletics Facilities team to ensure successful technological collaboration in Lee & Penny Anderson Arena and other on-campus venues, as well as with organizations brought in to assist with productions (production trucks, in-venue production companies, concert crews, etc.).
- Communicate effectively, and successfully demonstrate understanding of, best practices and trends within media production space.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
One year of post-education experience in a live production setting at either the Division I or professional
levels
Proficiency and experience in broadcast control rooms and equipment including, but not limited to, ZePlay, Ross
Xpression, Ross Carbonite, Daktronics Show Control, content management systems and A/V cabling and transport methods
Preferred Qualifications
Athletics-specific experience
Experience managing teams
Experience setting up on-location shoots for both broadcast and creative
Experience working with LED lighting, DJs, IPTV platforms and other in-arena elements that create a comprehensive fan experience
