Job Description
Function and Team Summary
Visa is looking for an accomplished Sr. Product Manager with a passion for innovating and shaping the next generation of payment products.
This team is focused on bringing to market a new, exciting Visa service with global reach, compelling consumer experience, novel platform features, and strategic importance to Visa.
This role will focus on developing and executing the vision, product strategy and commercialization plan for this new service. As a deep product expert, the Sr. Product Manager, will work closely with Technical Product Management, Marketing, Product Delivery, Sales and Regional teams to determine product strategy and vision, determine product-market fit, develop and implement product commercialization plans and assets and ultimately bring to market successful products.
RESPONSIBILITIES
In alignment with Technical Product Management, Marketing, Design Product Delivery, Sales, Technology and Regional teams, develop product strategy and vision for new products and experiences
Communicate and articulate product vision, product positioning, market differentiation, value proposition and benefits in ways that resonate with key audiences, use-cases and markets
Determine product-market fit, develop and implement product commercialization (GTM) plans and assets to bring to market successful products
Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of Visa’s capabilities and ability to apply them to client's business challenges
Monitor competitive activities and rationalize Visa activities. Understand the trends and competition to deliver compelling messages that effectively position our offerings for client’s and Visa’s success
Conduct in-depth market testing using various qualitative research methods
Work closely with regional teams to understand trends, competitive landscape, and shape direction of the roadmap as well as align the strategic product direction
Develop product strategy, go-to-market plans, and product design documents (concept document, business case, product requirements)
Create business cases and models using Visa data and external research to support the development of new products, services, solutions, and features. Conduct revenue potential and pricing analysis
Provide thought leadership in strategy and planning, content and messaging, and measurement and analysis areas
Cultivate net new and unique insights from a combination of expertise in product area, internal feedback, external feedback, and market research to provide perspective to the team and product management leaders to inform insights and decisions
Energize the team, using creativity to deliver new products and processes that surpass clients’ expectations, overcome obstacles, demonstrating new methods, capabilities, and mindsets.
Work closely with Internal and external product and partner teams to ensure alignment on goals and scope, plan critical path and operational risks, and ensure transparent communication
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- 8 years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 5 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (Masters, MBA, JD, MD)
- Strategy, GTM or product experience with core payment solutions, preferably in both sides of ecosystem
- Experience solving complex problems creatively, utilizing analysis, influence, communications, and strategy
- Experience commercializing complex B2B solutions, developing financial models and b
