Because what we do matters – to us as valued professionals and to the millions of people and institutions who rely on us to help them build more secure and prosperous futures.
THE ROLE
Apply sound judgment and discretion to address business challenges by analyzing processes, data flows, and platform environments across the Distribution business. Serve as a Business Systems Sr. Analyst within the System and Platform Support team, providing Level 1–2 application and production support across a portfolio of business-critical systems including SS&C SalesConnect, our broker transaction aggregate provider, Incentive Compensation Management (ICM) for territory management, and Salesforce for client engagement. Establish, document, and enforce operational standards, run books, and best practices across all supported platforms.
In collaboration with Distribution stakeholders, the Data Management Group (DMG), ICM Coverage, Digital, and technology partners, this role delivers operational and analytical solutions that safeguard the daily SS&C data pipeline, strengthen reconciliation and data-integrity controls, and improve transparency across sales, transaction, and AUM reporting. In addition, the incumbent evaluates existing processes and technology to define and support scalable enhancements as SalesConnect migrates to the SS&C Private Cloud, ICM/Varicent workflows expand, and Snowflake and Azure integrations mature.
You will function as a business systems liaison between Distribution stakeholders and the technology organization, ensuring requirements are implemented within expected timetables and that material scope changes are communicated back to the business. This role operates in a fast-paced, follow-the-sun support model spanning Boston, Toronto, Mexico, and India, and requires strong problem-solving skills, effective communication, and the ability to collaborate across globally distributed teams under tight SLAs.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Monitor daily SS&C data deliveries (SalesConnect daily trade files, DST inbound archives, TA2000-sourced feeds) escalating late loads or file-arrival issues within the 30-minute SLA.
- Provide Level 1–2 application and production support across SalesConnect, ICM (Varicent), and MDM, including dealer/office/rep hierarchy management, fund and account mapping, territory management, payee updates, and contact/organization merges.
- Ensure proper data processing through the use of data checks, DIVA validations, and operational reports to facilitate error-free business processes across the MDM, ICM, Salesforce chain.
- Perform and review daily and monthly reconciliations between Salesconnect, ICM, Salesforce, and downstream reporting layers (EDW, GDM, Sales Mart), investigating and resolving rejects, duplicates, and territory recalculation errors.
- Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and the technology organization to ensure proper implementation of requirements within the expected timetable and communicate any material modifications of business requirements back to business stakeholders.
- Translate business needs into clear functional specifications for engineering, ETL, and vendor partners, and validate delivered solutions against original requirements.
- Periodically provide weekend on-call coverage on rotation to ensure ICM weekend loads complete no later than Saturday 7:00 PM ET, and support Disaster Recovery (DR) exercises, Windows patching certifications, and enterprise release cycles.
- Mentor and advise less experienced Application Support on the team, including offshore contractor resources, and lead Knowledge Transfer (KT) sessions to grow team depth.
- Leverage AI for job optimization, data analytics, and reconciliation tasks.
- Create and improve processes, examine workflows, and recommend ways to increase efficiency, reduce manual effort, and standardize practices across the application support portfolio.
- Document code, procedures, and incident patterns in Confluence runbooks and the Known Error Database (KEDB) to support system maintenance and knowledge transfer.
- Follow the standard escalation hierarchy and Late Data Provider Communication Procedure, alerting internal business users within 30 minutes of identifying a data-delivery issue.
- Participate in the System and Platform Support community of practice and cross-team initiatives to promote innovation, ITIL alignment, and continual improvement.
- Collaborate effectively with globally distributed teams across Boston, Toronto, Mexico, and India.
