Victorian Village is located in Homer Glen, IL and is seeking a Dishwasher, Part Time for our Assisted Living Community. This is an excellent career opportunity for individuals who are truly passionate about providing meaningful activities for our residents. Must be able to work weekends.

Summary of essential functions:

The primary purpose of this position is responsible for cleaning, maintaining and sanitizing dishes, utensils, cooking equipment, dish room and other miscellaneous equipment. Duties of this position may include assisting in the preparation of food items and performing job related functions as assigned by supervisors. The ideal candidate must be able to follow instructions and work both independently and as a team with other employees. This candidate would need to put away stock, sweep and mop the floors, deliver trays to residents rooms, scrub pots in the 3 compartment sink and put away all of the clean dishes. Also, lift heavy garbage bags into the dumpster.

Requirements

• Responsible for proper storage, labeling and dating of all food items.
• Responsible for the cleanliness of the facility.
• Assists with enforcement of safety and sanitation standards.
• Participates in creating a safe work environment. Correctly operates food service equipment. Applies proper maintenance procedures when cleaning equipment.
• Reports equipment malfunctions to Manager/Director immediately.
• Maintains equipment temperature logs as assigned and reports temperatures outside of designated zones to Manager/Director immediately.
• Sets up and maintains serving areas in a clean and orderly manner prior to, during and after meal service.
