Kitchen Aide-Dishwasher, full-time

The Kitchen Aide/Dishwasher is a committed, communicative team player with excellent time management skills. You should be able to prioritize tasks in a busy setting and adhere to all food safety regulations and procedures.

Essential Duties:

• Ensure the kitchen and cafeteria is clean, well maintained and organized at all times
• Ensure floors are clean and dry at all times.
• Operate dish-washing machinery and maintain a hygienic working environment in accordance with sanitation regulations and Convent standards.
• Clean, rinse and sanitize all pots, pans and other equipment following established procedures.
• Record all dish machine and pot wash temperatures.
• Adhere to all sanitation guidelines.
• Collects and removes trash from all areas of the operation following established procedures for garbage and recycling guidelines.
• Assist cooks and servers when necessary.
• Stock, rotate, consolidate all deliveries in a timely and safe manner.
• Adhere to local and State health and safety guidelines.
• Sweeps, and maintain floors and walls in kitchen and dishwashing area.
• Cleans equipment as assigned following established procedures.
• Inform manager of all broken equipment, damaged goods and needed cleaning chemicals.
• Attend all department and facility meetings.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Participates in activities which enhance professional growth and development.
• Upholds the Organization's ethics and customer service standards.

Requirements

Education and/or Licensure – High School degree or equivalent preferred. Must possess or obtain a valid CPR certification and SAMA training within 30 days of hire.

Experience – None required. Prior psychiatric healthcare experience helpful.

• Use of appropriate social skills, including demonstration and respect for patients and staff; empathy toward patients; skills in teaching or assisting with activities of daily living helpful.
• Must be able to work independently, in a result restricted physical environment for extended periods of time.
• Skill to independently interpret reference materials to comply with law, rules, regulations, policies, procedures, etc.
• Ability to apply time management practices to prioritize, schedule and complete work effectively to comply with mandated policies and deadlines.
• Ability to work on multiple tasks or parts of tasks simultaneously to ensure timely completion of work activities.

Physical Requirements/Environmental Conditions
