Overview

Kimley-Horn has an opportunity for a motivated Senior Project Manager to expand our Water Quality Modeling practice in Alpharetta, Georgia (GA)!

Responsibilities

  • This position leads water quality modeling with expertise in developing, calibrating, and applying complex numerical models to simulate, assess, and predict contaminant behavior in various aquatic environments.
  • This role involved leading modeling projects, analyzing environmental data, preparing technical reports, and mentoring junior staff.
  • Pursue opportunities that fuel their professional passion and contribute to Kimley-Horn's success.
  • Key responsibilities include; Model Development, Data Analysis & Interpretation, Regulatory & Technical Reporting, Project Leadership and Strategic Planning.
  • Our Project Managers manage their projects profitably, transition work to qualified staff, grow and mentor staff, and act as a positive leader and mentor.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Hydrology or related scientific field
  • 15+ years of experience in water quality modeling, environmental consultancy, or public sector water resource management
  • Demonstrated experience with industry standard software such as MIKE (DHI), Delft3D, TELEMAC, EFDC, or HEC-RAS is preferred
  • Deep understanding of physical, chemical and biological processes in aquatic systems
  • Strong desire and ability to be engaged with clients solving project problems
  • Ability to effectively communicate positively at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to manage and mentor staff and direct resources effectively in a positive manner
