The Senior Accountant will report to the Accounts Payable team leader. Located in our Athens office, the role will also have close collaboration with our team located in Sweden. The ideal candidate has a proven record in multinational company(ies), has an eye for detail and the ability to multitask.</p><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><p>● Accounting of Accounts Payable and accruals related to accounts payable.</p><p>● Support and perform tasks in month-end and year-end close process.</p><p>● Check received invoices and send them for internal approval.</p><p>● Ensure the approval flow is correct in the relevant system and assist with any identified issues.</p><p>● Ensure all invoices are booked on time.</p><p>● Reconciliation and documentation of Accounts Payable in the closing.</p><p>● Keep up to date Masterdata in ERP.</p><p>● Propose potential changes in our procedures and ways to improve efficiency.</p><p>● Propose automations to strengthen and enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of current and future procedures.</p><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><p>● Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or relevant; Master’s degree will be considered a plus.</p><p>● Proven experience as an accountant of 4-6 years in a multinational environment. Also, it is desirable to have a tracking record of leading a small team.</p><p>● Experience working in an international group with transactions in different currencies.</p><p>● Thorough knowledge of accounting procedures and financial accounting statements.</p><p>● Advanced understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), in a multinational environment.</p><p>● Hands-on experience with accounting software packages, preferably Microsoft Dynamics and online accounts payable tool.</p><p>● Proficient MS Excel skills including Xlookups, pivot tables, power queries and if functions.</p><p>● Accuracy and attention to detail.</p><p>● Relevant certification (e.g. CMA, ACCA) will be considered a plus.</p><p>● Ability to work independently and as a part of a collaborative team.</p><p>● Demonstrate initiative and a positive, helpful attitude.</p><p>● Personal and professional integrity.</p><p>● Proficient in English (verbal and written).</p><p>● A’ Grade Accounting License.</p><p><strong>Benefits</strong></p><p><strong>We are looking for people who would make the world smaller for travelers but want a bigger world of opportunities for themselves.
