Position Summary:
Florida Atlantic University is seeking a Graduation Assistant - Boca Raton, FL.
The Graduation Assistant provides essential administrative and operational support to the Registrar’s Office, helping ensure a smooth and accurate graduation experience for students. This role supports key processes related to degree completion, commencement activities, and student communications while upholding university policies and confidentiality standards.
Summary of Responsibilities:
Support graduation processing, including application review, accurate data entry, and degree certification assistance.
Manage the commencement email account, responding to inquiries, and coordinating graduation ticket requests and inventory.
Assist with commencement planning and execution, including on-site ceremony support.
Facilitate diploma replacements, and maintenance of diploma inventory and supplies.
Ensure compliance with institutional policies, FERPA, and data confidentiality standards while providing general administrative support to the Registrar/Graduation team.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma and four years of appropriate experience required.Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
Exceptional customer service, problem‑solving, and organizational abilities, including the capacity to work independently and effectively support a diverse population of students, faculty, staff, parents, and administrators required.
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment, exercising sound judgment and independent decision‑making to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining high-quality service to all constituents required.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Access, and Word required, as well as a demonstrated ability to learn new technology platforms (e.g., Banner, Workday).
Preferred Qualifications/Skills:
At least two years of experience in admissions, registration, academic advising, or academic affairs within a higher-education setting.
